Find out what's lurking behind the kitchen door of your favorite
restaurant. How do they fair under the watchful eye of the Brazos County Health Department? KBTX continues to look at which Brazos Valley restaurants are making the grade and which ones aren't.
Here's what inspectors found during the week of January 27:
We begin at the Golden Arches on Villa Maria in Bryan, where there was buildup in the microwave and personal drinks stored by the drive-through. McDonald's scores an 85.
Another burger joint received a 90. Wendy's on Earl Rudder Freeway in Bryan was docked for a missing thermometer and buildup in the ice machine.
New China Wok Express on Villa Maria was told to keep personal food away from restaurant products in the cooler. It gets a 92.
While Pepe's on South College scores a 96 for mold on the lid of the ice maker.
And it's smooth sailing for Jamba Juice on University. The sweet stop rounds out our report with a perfect score.
