Find out what's lurking behind the kitchen door of your favorite
restaurant. How do they fair under the watchful eye of the Brazos County Health Department? KBTX continues to look at which Brazos Valley restaurants are making the grade and which ones aren't.
Here's what inspectors found during the week of March 3:
Formerly known as E-Star, the Great Wall on University Drive had its permit suspended after inspectors found food at the wrong temperature, shrimp improperly thawed, and raw chicken and fish stored improperly. The chinese buffet reopened the next day.
Mi Cocina II on George Bush Drive had mold on the drink nozzles and raw eggs not cold enough. The mexican food restaurant got a 78.
It's an 83 for McDonald's on Harvey Mitchell for a missing thermometer in a juice cooler and no towels at the sink.
Buildup in the ice machine cost Subway on Villa Maria a few points. It scored a 94.
And how about a hand for Hungry Howie's on Southwest Parkway.
The pizzeria received our one and only 100 of the week.
