It was a busy week for the Brazos County Health Department.

Not one, but two restaurants had their food serving permits suspended this week.

The first restaurant closed down by the Brazos County Health Department was El Coco Loco at 1601 South Texas Avenue in Bryan. Inspectors found a roach infestation, which forced the restaurant to close its doors for one day.

The same thing happened to Applebee's in College Station. On Tuesday, inspectors found live roaches in the kitchen forcing the restaurant to close its doors for one day. Each eatery had to pay a $500 fine.
