Some big bucks were raised for a local baby born prematurely.

Over the weekend we first introduced you to Jake Greenlee. Jake was born 13 weeks premature and weighed in at only two-pounds last month at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Since that time, Jake was transferred to Scott & White in Temple, and he is now at the College Station Medical Center.

To help the family with sky-rocketing medical bills, the Chicken Oil company stepped up to the plate on Saturday by donating all of the day's proceeds towards Jake's treatment and bills.

More than $4,000 was raised and Tuesday the money will be headed to the Greenlee family.

I would just like to comment that Screened Images donated ALL proceeds for the t-shirts that were sold. It was a PTO mom and parent to a first grader who brought this idea to the Chicken Oil Co. Please thank them also.
