Aggieland Outfitters, Rock 103.9, KORA 98.3

Aggieland Outfitters will join forces with local radio stations Rock 103.9 and KORA 98.3 to gather donations for tornado victims in Oklahoma this Wednesday from 4pm-6pm in the Post Oak Mall parking lot.

Aggieland Outfitters' sister store, Inspirations, had already planned to use the Aggieland Outfitters RV for a trip to the Tulsa area this weekend with Rock 103.9 to attend Rocklahoma. When news of the devastating tornados made its way to the Bryan-College Station area, both Aggieland Outfitters and Rock 103.9 decided that they had to change their plans slightly.

"With the trip to Rocklahoma already planned, it just made too much sense to not make a quick detour to the area hit by the tornados and help in anyway we can," said on air personality, Dee, who hosts Afternoons on Rock 103.9. "Some of the news reports that we've been watching have just been heart breaking, and Rock 103.9 and Brazos Valley Communications is proud to be a part of the efforts to help our neighbors in Oklahoma."

Aggieland Outfitters' Director of Marketing & Communications, Dallas Shipp, said that following the outpouring of support in response to the West, TX explosion, many of the company's Facebook fans began messaging the company through email and Facebook on Monday night asking if they were going to mount another relief drive.

"We obviously won't always be able to put together some sort of donation drive everytime something like this happens, but the fact that we already had a trip to Oklahoma planned this weekend just seemed to open up this opportunity for us," Shipp said. "Once we heard from the president of the Oklahoma City A&M Club, and were asked to help their club, we said sure."

Because the drive to Oklahoma is much longer than a quick trip to West, Aggieland Outfitters is asking that local residents try to make a cash donation. However, they will be taking a UHaul Truck in addition to the RV to carry as many supplies as possible.

Victims in Oklahoma have asked that donations of clothes NOT be made at this time, and are requesting the following supplies:
Baby Wipes

Diapers

Hand Sanitizer

Baby formula (sealed)

Hand towels

Individually wrapped snacks

Work Gloves

Shipp said that anyone wishing to stay up to date on the relief efforts should follow Aggieland Outfitters on Facebook.com/AggielandOutfitters or on Twitter at @AggieOutfitters.
