Some Republicans and Democrats are questioning the Obama administration's push for a smaller military.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is proposing to cut the Army to its smallest size in three-quarters of a century.

The Republican head of the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon, says the administration is trying to "solve our financial problems on the backs of our military."

And his Senate counterpart, Democratic Sen. Carl Levin, says the administration's changes face a "huge challenge."
