Firefighters continued putting out hotspots on Sunday at a Robertson County house fire that killed an elderly woman Saturday night.

It happened in Wheelock, east of Hearne.

When Wheelock Volunteer firefighters arrived at the home around 6:45 p.m. Saturday night on Barziza Street off OSR and FM 46, they say the home was fully engulfed.

They found 94-year-old Tillie Hedrick's body near the back of the home.

No word yet on what caused the fire, although the Wheelock Assistant Chief says there was no evidence of an explosion as was earlier reported.

The Wheelock Department received mutual aid assistance in fighting the fire from the Franklin, Blackjack, and Hearne Fire Departments.

An investigator with the State Fire Marshal's office was expected to arrive on the scene Monday morning.
