HOUSTON - Houston police have blamed several stray pit bulls for killing one person and injuring two others.
Investigators say the fatal mauling happened before dawn Sunday near an intersection in southeast Houston.
Authorities say one injured woman was declared dead at a hospital. Another woman and a man were treated for lesser injuries.
Animal control officials located one of the dogs. Two other pit bulls blamed for the attack remain on the loose. Authorities believe all three dogs did not have collars.
Names of the victims weren't immediately released.
