BRYAN UPDATE: Bryan Police released the name of the woman killed in a 4 car accident Wednesday evening. 86-year-old Gladys Florence was a passenger in the black Nissan.
Two people who were in the Chevy Tahoe were treated and released from St. Joseph's Hospital. The driver and passenger from the black Nissan were treated and released from St. Joe's. The driver of the other Chevy Tahoe involved was treated and released from St. Joe's as well.
No charges have been filed and the cause is still being investigated.
A 4-vehicle crash on Briarcrest Drive in Bryan Wednesday afternoon killed one person and injured a number of others.
Police say it happened at the intersection of Briarcrest and Freedom Boulevard just before 5:30.
3 cars were involved and a fourth unattended vehicle was hit in the Chick-fil-A restaurant parking lot.
Westbound Briarcrest was shut down for awhile as police investigated the crash.
An 86-year-old woman passenger in the backseat of a black Nissan was killed.
The whole chain of events started when the driver of a westbound SUV lost control of the vehicle.
Bryan Police Sergeant Jason James said, "The vehicle struck a smaller black vehicle, a Nissan. From there it bounced off a Nissan and into a white SUV. Once it struck the white SUV it made it into parking lot here of Chick fil-A and struck a parked car."
4 people were injured in the crash and taken to St. Joseph Hospital.
So far the name of the woman killed has not been released.
