Robertson County held a drug take back today collecting both over the counter and prescription medicine because officials say the availability and access to medication has skyrocketed, making it easier than ever for prescription abuse.
In total, they collected 100 pounds of pills today.
The pills will be incinerated, and the bottles will be recycled.
The Robertson County Community Coalition also gave away lock boxes to keep their medication safe.
The next Drug Take Back Day will be in October.
