Over 100 of the nation's best divers are in town competing for a national championship, including some Olympians. Chris Colwill is one of those athletes. He placed 4th in his diving event at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

"I was 23 years old and I felt like a kid in a candy shop. That's the only way that I could describe what the Olympics was like and I had a tremendous amount of fun," said Colwill.

Chris is hearing impaired, he can only hear about 60 percent of what's going on around him. However, he says that helps him in competition.

"It would give me a chance to block out the outside noises and that could possibly hurt other divers during their dives," said Colwill.

Being hearing impaired is something Chris was born with but he doesn't let it hold him back.

"I've been through my share of struggles in terms of going through school, personal life, diving. It's just something that I've learned to cope with over the years and I'm proud of who I am. I don't look at what I have as a disability, I just enjoy (life)," said Colwill.

With the 2012 Summer Olympics fast approaching, Chris is planning to get a hold of some hardware in London.

"That's my goal. I'm just going to train for the next two years, hopefully make the Olympics get a medal and go from there," said Colwill.
