A longtime educator with a history of turning around low-performing schools is going to try to do the same thing for Navasota High School. Charles Hebert has been named interim principal replacing Brent Rumbo who resigned.
Hebert comes to Navasota from Cleveland (TX) I.S.D. where he served as a consultant. Prior to that, he was principal at Waco High where the school improved from Low Performing to Acceptable. Hebert also led Clear Lake High to three straight years of Recognized status.
Navasota High's last ranking placed it at academically Unacceptable.
