A nationally-recognized former Texas A&M professor has added another honor to his long list of achievements. Dr. Norman Borlaug was awarded an honorary doctorate Friday by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
Borlaug received a Congressional Gold Medal from President George W. Bush this summer for his work in improving food grains. He is also a past Nobel Peace Prize recipient for his contributions in fighting starvation in third world countries.
