Bryan Police Chief Tyronne Morrow announced a new Assistant Chief.

Wayland Rawls, 34, officially gains that title as of Monday, October, 1.

Rawls has twelve years in law enforcement, and has been with Bryan P.D. since 1996. He began as a narcotics investigator.

Chief Morrow says Rawls' experience, education, and leadership skills make him the number one choice.

Assistant chief David Slanker moves to the Operations Support Division, and Pete Scheets, who was the Assistant Chief of Operations Support, is now Deputy Chief of Police.
