The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System launches its flu campaign at the Bryan/College Station Community Based Outpatient Clinic during October with a free flu vaccination clinic for veterans enrolled in the health care system.
Flu vaccinations will be given at the Outpatient Clinic located at 1605 Rock Prairie Road, Suite 212, in College Station on Oct. 2, Oct. 3 and Oct. 16 from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M.
The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccination each year.
