The Chappell Hill Bank in Washington County has something to brag about...

Still standing strong for more than a century the bank tucked away in beautiful Chappell Hill unveiled the new Texas Historical Marker Thursday evening. The establishment is recognized for being the oldest standing bank in Texas in its original location. It has never closed to its customers even when most banks did during the Great Depression.

The historical marker is a tribute to the historic significance and preservation of the bank.
