Aggie fans aren't the only ones excited about the first game day weekend of 2010, local business owners are amped up too.

Andreas Dallis owns Bodega Coast and two other restaurants in Bryan-College Station. He plans his budget around game day weekends and knows the big crowds bring in the big bucks.

"The town almost doubles in size, or so it seems, so its great for business owners in this town."

While other cities have struggled with the economic slump, Dallis says football weekends and other annual Aggie events help keep him out of the red. But restaurants won't be the only places filling up hotels will be hard to book too. Executive Director for BCS Convention and Visitors Bureau, Shannon Overby, local hotels are already more than halfway full for the first game.

"We've got the largest freshman class at A&M this year so a lot of parents will be coming back for the first game and since we're playing S.F.A., it's a short drive for their fan base as well."

Overby says Aggie Athletics raked in $314 million dollars to the local economy last year.

"It's leaving a good amount of money in the funds for the two cities which then go to help pay for fire departments, road improvements and expansions. So, don't complain about those visitors...they're helping keep our property taxes low."
