Deadly accidents across the state and the Brazos Valley marred the Labor Day Weekend.
Monday afternoon on HIghway 90 in Grimes County a Ford Explorer hydroplaned into a Honda Van, killing a 45-year old man and his ten year old son.
45-year old Peter Michael Bond, an insurance agent from Fair Oaks, Texas and his 10 year old son Cooper Michael Bond both died in the accident.
The Bonds were southbound on State Highway 90 when a Ford Explorer, driven by 21-year old Charles Davis Glover of Hempstead, hydroplaned into them.
Four others were injured with non-life threatening injuries. Highway 90 just outside of Anderson was closed for several hours.
The accident is still under investigation.

OUr hearts and prayers go to the family. Not that this was a factor in the accident, but remember to NEVER have your cruise control on in the rain. If there is hydroplaning, the wheels will actually move faster because there is no traction which tells the engine to accelerate
I'm a so sorry about the tragic loss of a bright young boy and for that of a dedicated father and husband. My prayers are with the wife and children left behind. Please slow down and pay attention while driving.
I am devastated for the family. I went to high school with Peter and am so sad at his loss but also the loss of his son, Cooper. May his family find peace, in time...God bless them.
