One last round of rain & thunderstorms is moving through the Brazos Valley tonight -- along and ahead of an approaching cold front. Winds upwards of 40mph will be possible along & ahead of this activity. The winds subside once the rain begins, however, a quick 0.25" of an inch of rain is possible and dime size hail cannot be ruled out. These storms should be south of the Brazos Valley by 2am.
An attempted robbery lands one Washington man in jail.
It happened around 2:30 this morning.
College Station Police Officers responded to a call of a Burglary of a Vehicle in progress at 503 Cherry Street.
On arrival Officers encountered the suspect as he was leaving the scene.
The suspect fled on foot when he saw the Officers but was apprehended a short distance away without further incident.
19-year-old Brandon Walker, a Washington resident, was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, Evading Arrest and Possession.
