A local radio station is changing its tune. On Monday, 103.9 Jack-FM became Rock 103.9 - "Where Aggieland Rocks". The new station has live, local programming and plays a variety of rock music.
According to the station, Rock 103.9 will feature a broad playlist including bands such as Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osbourne, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Kings of Leon, Motley Crue, Seether, Pearl Jam, Buckcherry, Kid Rock, Nickelback, and Guns N' Roses
Jack FM was a syndicated format with no live personalities, who's theme was "Playing What We Want".
From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Rock 103.9 will be hosted by "Kotter", a rock DJ who comes from the Midland-Odessa market.
Rock 103.9 is owned by Brazos Valley Communications, who also owns 98.3 KORA-FM, 1240 Radio Alegria, and 101.9 The Beat.
