The Bush Presidential Library Director may get a presidential appointment.

Dr. Douglas Menarcik is awaiting a senate confirmation hearing for a position for which President Bush nominated him.

If approved, Menarcik would move to Washington D.C. to become the assistant administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Menarcik says he expects the hearing to be set before the senate convenes in October.

The search for Menarcik's replacement is already underway.
