Prank calling has come a long way since the refrigerator-running classic. And it's safe to say, College Station resident, Brice Milliorn is the king of prank calls--in fact, he's raising the bar.

"Any time my neighbor receives an anonymous call, he assumes it's me,” Milliorn says jokingly. “If he leaves his trash out too long, I'll pretend I'm with the Homeowners Association."

By day Milliorn is a financial advisor, by night, a part-time application or 'App' developer for Apple.

"In the two years that I have been doing it, and this is a side job, I have made almost $80,000."

Since going into business, Milliorn’s independent company, JBMJBM, LLC, has sold nearly half-a-million Apps.

"The Prank Me! App is probably the most popular, the iZone which is a time zone management type of app also does very well."

And speaking of the Prank Me! App, it has become so popular, it was recently ranked among the 'Top 50 Apps' in the Entertainment Category in the U.S. But Milliorn is not the only College Station resident catering to tech-hungry mobile users--the White family is too.

"It is a lucrative side job,” explains Darren White. “Since it was just released, it’s only been a month and a half, it makes just about as much as I would have working a part time job."

Darren and his wife Stephanie are the duo behind ‘Defensoid,’ a gaming App for the Android OS.

"The game is in the tower defense genre, essentially some bad guys want to get from one side of the map, and so you place your towers in a way that will stop them.”

Darren develops the game while Stephanie makes the game come to life.

"I help him with the graphics he comes up with the ideas of what he wants it to look like and I will turn it into an actual graphic for his game, " explains Stephanie.

Since it's release the Whites are reaping the rewards across the globe.

"I've had requests from countries where paid apps are not available,” says Darren White. “And they're like please how do I get your app? And I'm kind of shocked, I guess I did pretty good."

While Milliorn says he doesn't plan on quitting his day job anytime soon, White on the other hand, has other plans.

"I would love to make more games, more apps and If it takes off, I'm going to keep with it."

For now the family of three will keep their fingers crossed in hopes to continue making their mark one app at a time.
