A late afternoon apartment fire Thursday displaced one resident at the Polo Club Apartments in College Station.
The fire started in an upstairs apartment at 700 Dominik Drive. Damage from the fire was confined to that one apartment with light smoke damage in two adjoining apartments, said College Station Fire Department officials.
One resident was displaced and relocated by the apartment's management.
Eighteen firefighters from the College Station and Bryan responded to the fire.
The fire appears to have started in the kitchen, but the exact cause is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office, officials said.
