Brazos County Sheriff Deputies chased down a suspicious driver first by car, then on foot.
Bobby Lynn Flowers, 44, led deputies on a chase Thursday morning from Smetana to Bryan.
Authorities were in Smetana assisting in a covert operation when a suspicious vehicle entered the area. The driver proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse and accelerated. Deputies then gave pursuit.
The chase went down several streets in Bryan, finally ending when the suspect's car ran out of gas on New York Street near Pauline Street.
Flowers tried to flee on foot but was apprehended a short time later.
He faces several charges including evading arrest and reckless driving.
Flowers' bond has been set at $10, 500.
