A Washington County jury is still undecided on the fate of a man accused of murdering a woman and dumping her body on the side of the road.

Jurors deliberated for over six hours October 1.

Lee Van Parker has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 34-year-old Sandra Ramos.

The body of the San Antonio woman was found over one year ago along US 290 near FM 390 in Burton. Reports show Ramos' death was caused by injury to the neck and throat with an unknown object.

However, investigators said the amount of the blood at the scene suggests the death actually took place prior to her ejection from the car.

If found guilty, Parker faces up to 99 years in prison.
