WTAW Drops CBS Programming

A local NewsTalk radio station is pulling the plug on CBS programming.

According to General Manager Ben Downs, WTAW has given CBS Radio 90 days notice about the change.

Downs says for years the station has taken the heat for CBS and says the Dan Rather memo incident sent listeners over the edge.

WTAW will now get its national news from ABC Radio.

Downs says ABC has a great reputation in radio and the change will make a big difference to their audience.
