Huntsville Hospital Changing Hands

Leadership at Huntsville Memorial Hospital is changing hands. The hospital will now be managed by the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.

Memorial Hermann is a 12 hospital system, including nearby locations in the Woodlands and the Texas Medical Center in Houston.

Hospital officials say this will be beneficial, giving them more specialty services, leading-edge research, and new technology. Officials don't believe the change will eliminate any jobs.

The change became effective Oct. 1.
