Final TEA Ratings Bring One Local School to Acceptable

With the final numbers released by the Texas Education Agency, one local school is happy to have a change in their rating.

Cameron's Yoe High School went from academically unacceptable to acceptable after what the district described as a clerical error in documents.

That put all four schools in the Cameron school district as academically acceptable.

According to the TEA, of the 115 districts or campuses throughout the state that submitted appeals, only 52 were granted.
