Stolen yard signs, congressional mailing rules and even the font size used on a campaign mailer. Those are some of the issues that have emerged in one of the most expensive congressional races in the country -- where money buys some pretty cheap shots.
Texas A-and-M Commerce political science professor Charles Elliott says he doesn't remember another race so focused on trivia as the one between Congressmen Pete Sessions and Martin Frost. Frost is a Democrat who chose to run in Sessions' Republican-leaning Dallas-area district after the G-O-P destroyed his district in redistricting.
Some political observers say Frost and Sessions may be getting creative to get voters' attention. They say congressional candidates get little media attention campaigning on complex issues and voting records.
