Loupot's Celebrates 75 Years

Ol' Army Lou's legend lives on as Loupot's Bookstore celebrates its 75th Anniversary.

Judson E. Loupot opened his bookstore on Northgate in 1932 after being kicked off campus for selling everything from used books to sandwiches out of his dorm room.

His Northgate business grew over the years along with his generosity and love for Texas A&M.

A star studded list of invitees, including Governor Rick Perry, came to College Station Thursday to pay tribute to Loupot's at its Texas sized anniversary event.
