Traffic on Highway 6 is flowing Friday evening, after a construction accident in College Station forced it to close.
Just before 1:00 pm., a tractor-trailer backed-up into several support wires of a utility pole.
The collision was strong enough to cause the lines to fall across the highway and start several small grass fires.
Police closed all north and southbound lanes of Highway 6 at William D. Fitch Parkway.
The fires were quickly put out and Highway 6 was reopened in about 30 minutes.
No one was injured in the accident.
