If you thought you were going to get an extra hour of sleep this weekend, think again.
Daylight-saving time now ends a week later than it used to. Instead of the last Sunday in October, the switch to standard time happens the first Sunday in November.
So it's not until next weekend that clocks must be set back an hour.
Daylight-saving time also started three weeks earlier this year, as a result of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Advocates claimed that the change could save up to 100,000 barrels of oil for every extra day.
The shift will also provide some extra daylight for trick-or-treaters on Halloween.
