Clayton Williams made a stop in Aggieland on Saturday to promote his new book.
"Claytie: The Roller Coaster Life of a Wildcatter" is the title of the book that was just released.
Williams was on hand at the Memorial Student Center Bookstore to autograph copies.
He says the book gives readers insight into his childhood, his career, and his marriage to his wife, Modesta, of more that 40 years.
For several years, Williams declined offers to have the ups and downs of his life.
He says recently, he felt the time was right and he selected Mike Cochran of the Associated Press to author the publication and Texas A&M University Press published it.
The former Texas A&M student says the message he wants his reader to gain is that integrity is the true cornerstone to success in life.
