AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - The largest Baptist group in Texas could elect its first female president today.

Joy Fenner, a mission worker in suburban Dallas, could become the first female to lead the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Her main rival is West Texas pastor David Lowrie.

In 2004 and 2005, the convention elected the first Hispanic and first black presidents in the group's history.
