The Bryan City Council took the first step toward turning ideas into action. In a workshop meeting Tuesday, the council discussed six main areas of emphasis that were developed at an August retreat.
The priority list will now be handed down to city administrators and staff to come up with plans to address each one. But City Manager David Watkins said two seem to stand out from the rest.
"Image and infrastructure are important because in a way they're kind of related," he said. "Bryan is a great town and we need to tell people what Bryan is all about. Physically Bryan needs some work on our roads, sewer and and water."
The remaining priorities are growth, public safety, diversity and education.
