Stopping Crime for 25 Years

Brazos County Crime Stoppers celebrated 25 years of catching crooks at a Tuesday night banquet at the Hilton Hotel in College Station.

Sheriff Chris Kirk has headed up the non-profit program for nearly two decades. He was roasted by co-workers, friends and supporters of Crime Stoppers.

The anonymous tip line has resulted in nearly 2,000 arrests, nearly $3 million in narcotics and property seized, and a quarter of a million dollars in reward money paid out.
