The governor is pitching in to help launch an interactive CD-ROM targeting college students and their drinking habits.

Governor Rick Perry visited Texas A&M University October 13 to launch a program called Alcohol 101 Plus. The interactive program by the Century Council is designed to help students make responsible decisions.

Governor Perry said students need to know the dangers of alcohol abuse.

"I care about you; I care about your health and safety; I care about your future. Too many lives have been tragically and dramatically changed for the worse," said Perry at the press conference.

The Century Council has distributed the CD-ROM to thousands of campuses nationwide.
