Bullock Lawsuit

Actress Sandra Bullock claims a builder did lousy work on her Lake Austin mansion.

A jury agreed, awarding her about seven (M) million dollars Thursday in a dispute with a homebuilder. The jury in Austin had to consider 48 questions, including whether a contract between builder "Benny" Daneshjou and Bullock was breached.

The Austin American-Statesman reports the jury answered most of those questions in Bullock's favor. Jurors did not answer the question of whether Daneshjou broke any racketeering laws.

Bullock, who left for Los Angeles this week to work on a film, wasn't present for the verdict.

The builder plans to appeal.

Also, the jury found that former project manager David Shrum breached his duties -- but didn't hold him responsible for damages.

Bullock starred in movies including "Speed," "Two Weeks Notice" and "Miss Congeniality."
