A man was stabbed to death as he and his sister were leaving the Texas Renaissance Festival Saturday night.
Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell says the victim was stabbed about 20 times after he was attacked by a group of men who made remarks about the woman. Sowell says the victim and the men exchanged words just before the attack.
The victim was transported by air ambulance to Conroe Medical Center where he died.
The Sheriff says the suspects fled the scene. It was not clear if anyone saw the suspects leave in a car or on foot.
The sister of the victim was apparently not injured.
Sheriff Sowell says up until this incident, there was little or no trouble at this years Festival.
