The suspect in the Renaissance Festival murder made his first court appearance Monday morning.
Bail was set at $75,000 for 19-year-old Brent Noland, accused of stabbing 23-year-old Brandon Smith in the parking lot outside the festival Saturday night.
Smith was stabbed 19 times and died of his injuries at Conroe Regional Medical Center. He and sister were on leave from the Naval duties and spending the day at the festival.
Grimes County Sheriff Office is still investigating the incident and questioning other persons of interest.
