Hours before his surprise parachute jump, former President George Bush attended a special ribbon-cutting.
The Scowcroft Institute over at the Bush School of Government and Public Service was officially opened Saturday.
Mr. Bush and the former First Lady Barbara Bush were on hand as the center's name sake, Lieutenant General Brent Scowcroft cut the ceremonial ribbon.
United States Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England also attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
During the elder Bush's administration, Scowcroft served as his National Security Advisor
