Homeless Shelter Looks For New Home

The area's only homeless shelter is a little closer to getting a new home.
In a November letter to the city of Bryan, the Twin City Mission Board of Directors stated it's ready to move out of downtown Bryan as soon as it can find a suitable piece of property.

But Twin City Mission spokesperson Ron Crozier says that may be easier said than done. Crozier says while the Mission is eager to move to a location where it can expand, there are specific criteria prospective properties must meet. He says accessibility and infrastructure issues will weigh heavily on the board's decision.

But Crozier says Twin City is actively looking at different sites throughout the community and he's optimistic a good one will be found.
