Once again a decision is put off on relocating Fire Station 3 in College Station.
Residents were back before the city council December 9th re-enforcing how much they don't want the the station along Earl Rudder Freeway to be moved to Barron Road. They also said they were promised one more public hearing in front of the council.
Instead of voting on the purchase of the property between crossroads Alexandria and Victoria, the council decided to let neighbors in the Shennandoah subdivision speak their minds at a December 21st meeting.
Currently the fire station is located along the bypass near Greens Prairie Road. But, it has to be moved because of future plans to make the feeder road one way.
The neighbors near the proposed Barron Road location are worried what the station could do to their property values.
