Travelers seem to think it's just a better way to fly and if you take a trip out of Easterwood Airport you'll be able to get jet service too.
The transition from prop-engine planes to the regional jets will happen next week. The first Continental regional jet flight is taking off Thursday.
Airport administration is trying to get American Eagle to do the same thing.
"It will save some time, not a tremendous amount of time, but it's just a more reliable service and a much smoother and enjoyable service we believe, and that's what our customers have asked for," said Easterwood Aviation Director John Happ.
Easterwood is currently under construction to accommodate the new flights. Workers are moving the security screeners to the second floor and building boarding ramps to accommodate the regional jets.
