There’s no resolution yet on the future of a former Madisonville police officer.

Jody Navarro says he was fired from the force after calling in the Texas Rangers to investigate allegations that his four-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted.

The city claims Navarro resigned but does not have any proof.

A special hearing Wednesday morning with city officials was held giving Navarro a chance to tell his side of the story.

City manager Tom Ginter would not comment on if Navarro quit.

A decision is expected to be made Monday.
