Early Voting has drawn record numbers across the state, and that could translate into record numbers at the polls Tuesday.

Local election officials are getting prepared for the crowds. Volunteers have been busy setting up the voting machines at various polling places around the county, getting ready for Election Day.

Karen McQueen, the Brazos County Clerk says, "We're getting all supplies ready, poll lists have been printed, machines have been delivered. We loaded those this morning."

Early voter turnout in Brazos County was much bigger than expected and Super Tuesday is expected to be just as big.

"We already talked to constable to have his deputies on standby to run equipment or forms for whatever judges might need,” McQueen adds.

Voting will begin from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. There are 43 different polling sites around the county, depending what precinct you live in.

Tallying up the votes is much quicker these days thanks to the electronic voting system. McQueen expects to have the results in no later than 10 p.m.

The county says to expect long lines. A tip to help speed along the process is bring your voters registration card. But polling sites will accept your driver's license as form of identification.

If you live in Brazos County and aren't sure where to vote, you can contact the voter registrars office at 361-4483.
