Cingular Wireless customers across Texas had problems with their service Monday.
According to the cell provider a hardware problem in their network caused intermittent service problems.
"Potentially every Cingular Wireless Customer in Texas was affected," says Frank Merriman, regional spokesman.
The problem started around four Monday afternoon and was fixed about 4 hours later. Merriman says customers should not experience any more problems.
At first it was unclear if Cingular customers nation-wide were affected but Merriman confirmed it was only those with phone numbers based in Texas who have GSM technology.
