Smokers in Hunstville, get ready for a big change. If you plan on going anywhere near the hospital you better leave your cigarettes behind.

Huntsville Memorial Hospital is banning smoking on it's property. That includes the parking lots and all of the facilities operated by the hospital.

Even the designated smoking areas outside the building will disappear by the first of the year.

A spokesperson for the hospital says the move is to help promote a clean and healthy environment for employees and patients.
