A 44 year old dispatcher with the Leon County Sheriff's Department was shot in the chest with a shotgun at close range this morning and her husband has been arrested.
Phyllis Relerford and her husband were estranged. The shooting happened at her home on County Road 211 in the Pleasant Springs area near Centerville.
Relerford was taken to the Crockett hospital before being transferred to a Tyler hospital for additional, extensive surgery.
Lynn Cornelius Relerford is being held without bond.
