A vehicle believed to be a van slammed into the back of a sedan about 8:30 p.m. Sunday night near Brenham killing a passenger in the car and injuring two others.
The van fled the scene but was apparently found abandoned a short time later. The driver was still on the loose late Sunday. The DPS Trooper investigating the hit-and-run said there were no witnesses to the crash. Both cars were northbound on Hwy 36 just before you get into Brenham.
